Single Parenting

Are you considering becoming a single parent by choice? AFMC helps you access a world of resources available to you. We can provide you with the treatment necessary to become pregnant, while our community partners can provide valuable resources and family-building services to help single individuals realize the joy of parenthood.

AFMC’s reproductive endocrinologists and professional staff can help you evaluate options and determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific needs. Becoming a single parent by choice may involve the following:

Sperm Donor Conception

Donor insemination allows clean and concentrated sperm, from a clinic-recruited donor, into the uterus around the time of ovulation, potentially resulting in pregnancy.

Egg Donor Conception

An egg donor will donate eggs to enable another woman to become pregnant. The egg recipient may be the female patient or a gestational surrogate.

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)

IVF involves retrieving eggs and sperm, fertilizing them in an AFMC laboratory to create embryos, then placing a healthy embryo into the uterus to achieve pregnancy.

Gestational Surrogacy

Gestational surrogacy is a process in which an individual, who did not provide the egg used in conception, carries the pregnancy and gives birth to a baby for another person or couple.
